The inaugural StereoNET HiFi & AV Expo Singapore 2026 marked an exciting milestone for Singapore’s audio industry, bringing together manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and music enthusiasts under one roof for three days of demonstrations, product launches, and conversations centred around the enjoyment of music.
As one of the official media partners, SoundTribeAsia was pleased to be part of the event, covering product showcases, listening sessions, and meeting members of the growing Hi-Fi community throughout the weekend.
Held at Marina Bay Sands, the exhibition attracted a consistently strong turnout over all three days. Demonstration rooms were well attended, with many visitors patiently waiting for listening sessions to begin. Corridors remained lively throughout the event, reflecting the continued enthusiasm for high-quality audio despite an increasingly digital world.
The Exhibition
One of the most encouraging observations was the diversity of attendees. Long-time audiophiles explored the latest flagship systems alongside newcomers taking their first steps into the hobby. Conversations ranged from room acoustics and system matching to vinyl playback, music streaming, and the latest loudspeaker technologies. This mix of experience levels created an approachable atmosphere where knowledge was shared freely between exhibitors and visitors.
The exhibition also showcased an impressive range of products across different price points. From accessible entry-level systems to reference-grade equipment, visitors had the opportunity to experience how different brands approach music reproduction. Many exhibitors also used the event to introduce new products to the Singapore market, allowing attendees to hear them firsthand rather than relying solely on specifications or online reviews.
Beyond the equipment, the event reinforced the importance of community within the Hi-Fi hobby. Throughout the exhibition, it was common to see visitors staying well beyond scheduled demonstrations to exchange listening impressions, discuss favourite recordings, and reconnect with fellow enthusiasts.
