Welcome to SoundTribeAsia (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access and use of our online marketplace located at www.soundtribeasia.com, including all subdomains, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By registering, accessing, or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
- About the Marketplace
www.soundtribeasia.com operates as an online marketplace platform that connects buyers and independent sellers (“Vendors”) offering new, used, and pre-owned Hi-Fi and audio products.
We do not own, manufacture, or sell the items listed on the Platform. Each Vendor is an independent entity responsible for its own listings, pricing, product quality, warranties, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding contracts to use our Platform. By using the Platform, you confirm that all information you provide is true, accurate, and complete.
We reserve the right to refuse access, terminate accounts, or restrict use of our services at our discretion.
- Account Registration
To buy or sell on the Platform, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately at admin@soundtribeasia.com.
- Role of SoundTribeAsia
Our role is limited to providing a technology and payment infrastructure that enables transactions between buyers and Vendors.
We do not guarantee product authenticity, performance, or availability. Any transaction or agreement between a buyer and a Vendor is made solely between those parties.
- Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful product listings, descriptions, and images.
- Clearly state item conditions (e.g., new, mint, excellent, good).
- Ship orders within the promised timeframe.
- Comply with all applicable laws, tax obligations, and intellectual property rights.
- Honor their own return, refund, and warranty policies.
- Not engage in fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive practices.
Vendors remain solely responsible for customer service, order fulfillment, and post-sale support.
- Buyer Responsibilities
Buyers agree to:
- Carefully review product descriptions, pricing, and Vendor policies before purchasing.
- Communicate respectfully with Vendors through the Platform’s messaging system.
- Not attempt to circumvent or contact Vendors outside the Platform to avoid transaction fees (“off-platform trading”).
- Confirm delivery promptly to release escrow payments when applicable.
All purchases are subject to the individual Vendor’s policies and applicable consumer protection laws.
- Payments and Fees
All payments are processed securely through integrated payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
Funds may be held temporarily in escrow until the buyer confirms delivery, after which payments (minus commissions) are released to Vendors.
We may charge Vendors transaction fees, listing fees, or commissions, as outlined in our Vendor Terms or dashboard settings.
- Returns, Refunds & Disputes
Each Vendor is responsible for managing its own returns and refunds as described in its individual store policy.
If a buyer and Vendor cannot resolve an issue, SoundTribeAsia may, at its discretion, assist as a neutral mediator.
Our decision in such disputes will be final and binding.

- Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Platform to:
- Sell counterfeit, illegal, or stolen items.
- List unsafe, misrepresented, or prohibited products (including fake audio equipment).
- Engage in spam, harassment, or abusive communication.
- Circumvent fees, promote external sites, or share direct contact information.
- Upload harmful software, viruses, or malicious code.
- Violate any laws, regulations, or intellectual property rights.
Violation of these terms may result in suspension or permanent removal of your account.
- Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, graphics, and content on the Platform (except Vendor listings) are the property of SoundTribeAsia or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, or reuse any part of the Platform without prior written consent.
Vendors retain ownership of their original product photos and descriptions but grant SoundTribeAsia a non-exclusive license to display them on the Platform.
- Platform Availability
We strive to maintain uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee the Platform will always be available, error-free, or secure.
We may temporarily suspend services for maintenance, updates, or security reasons without prior notice.
- Limitation of Liability
SoundTribeAsia acts solely as an intermediary and shall not be liable for:
- Any product defects, damages, or losses arising from a Vendor’s sale.
- Any disputes between buyers and Vendors.
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to any user shall not exceed the total amount of transaction fees paid by that user within the past six months.
- Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SoundTribeAsia its directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of a third party.
- Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent activity.
Upon termination, your access to the Platform and all associated data may be revoked.
- Changes to Terms
We may modify or update these Terms from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with the revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
